7. Once you have an outline, now is the time to buy your furniture. Select pieces that go with your theme, whether it is country, French provincial, etc. Watch out as not to over-decorate your room. You can decide if you like a bookshelf or a lamp for example in your bedroom. Adding a touch of nature such as a plant would also make it feel homier.
